02. Vehicle Eligibility
Hybrid & EV
Modern hybrid vehicles still require tailpipe emissions or OBDII data verification. Full EVs are exempt from smog testing but may require certification for title transfers.
Gasoline
Passenger vehicles from 1976 and newer.
Diesel
1998 and newer, under 14,000 GVWR.
The Inspection Lifecycle
Verification
We scan your VIN and verify your DMV registration documents to initiate the state-linked session.
Documentation Needs:
DMV Renewal Notice or Current Registration.
Visual Inspection
Our technicians inspect the catalytic converter, gas cap, and vacuum lines for integrity.
OBDII Analysis
On-board diagnostics are queried for fault codes and readiness monitors via our secure terminal.
Certification
Pass results are transmitted instantly to the DMV. You receive a printed copy for your records.
